Hee.
It's the third Monday in January, and according to one psychologist, today is the most depressing day of the year. Seriously. If you really want to read about it, you can go here; otherwise, look on the bright side. If you survive today, the rest of the year will be a cinch. ;)
Or, better yet, try to think about how you might make this week a little better for those you come across. Whether it's sharing this bit of information in order to put a little perspective on the situation, or just holding a few doors and making that extra effort to connect, you might want to do your part to take a little of the dourness out of this 'holiday.'
Anyway. I've always liked the color blue. :)
But what I really wanted to do was to post a bit about some of the discussions that have been bubbling up around the site! Last week, Brian pointed a few people in the direction of Julian's series on The Secret. It's since become quite the hot topic; check out the comments if you have any question about whether or not people have strong feelings about it. :) But the more perspectives the better . . . so if you have any familiarity with this film (whether you think it's the best thing since manifested sliced bread or just another instance of endemic New Age narcissism), I'd second Brian and encourage you all to have a look. Julian's pieces are located here, and ~C4 has generously complied a list of branching discussions on the same topic. So what are you waiting for? Go join the fray! ;)
There's a fledgling thread in the Thinktank about "heroes and heroines." What started out as an innocent question about the language we use to describe our role models and the balance between men and women in our 'heroes' lists on Zaadz evolved into a marvelous dialogue on how the way we say things impacts our culture and our very identity.
And last but not least, The Vision Cafe has a few provocative dialogues going on, from one about whether the resources, education, and quantity of information we have available today more of a help or a hindrance to visionary thinking (and action), to another about the challenges of living in a "corporatized world."
So have a read, and leave your thoughts (your fellow Zaadz members need to hear what you have to say!), and be extra generous with the hugs and kindness today.

and don't forget the Dan Millman post that started it all for me. :)
Talking about The Secret, and for inspiration, even on Mondays, check out my newest site, http://www.ForeignDVDs.net. It lists a number of great movies, including The Secret, and related articles on foreign films, documentaries, independent films and spiritual films.
