Hello All!
Jessica here :)
Terri & I just got back from the San Francisco Green Festival. It was absolutely amazing.
San Francisco is a great city. Did you know they're the first in the US to ban the use of plastic bags? Wow. Talk about green. For info on the growing global movement to ban plastic bags and tips for what you can do, click here!
Now, back to the Green Festival. There were hundreds of vendors and around 30,000 to 40,000 attendees. Everyone was eager to check out new green products or spread the word about their conscious business endeavors. It's inspiring to see this event grow and thrive. We were there telling all those lucky people about you!
Speaking of inspiring, I can't tell you how thrilled I was to meet so many incredible members from our community. We had about 10 beautiful & passionate volunteers! I want to extend a huge thanks to Doug, Jen, Greg, David, Navyo, Moonsong, BJ, Gail, Natalie, & Ana for your help in making this such a fantastic event. Such amazing people.
I am always in awe when I meet members in person. It's hard to believe, but they're even more wonderful than I imagined. I wish all of you could've been there with us! Perhaps I can share some of the goodness with you...
Once again, thank you & BIG hugs to everyone who came out!
And, everyone else? Thank you for being so extraordinary and making this place what it is. It's such an honor to tell new people at these events how awesome you are.

We have been cutting up the plastic bags, reason for this, animals, birds, retiles and fishes will not get stuck in them, We have been spreading the word and great respond from children.. Also our stores are selling canvas bags, cheap so you now have a choice not to take plastic. Everyone making a conscious effort and it is still not enough. Evidence is still at the stores.. manufacturing has to stop. In Europa we have to take our containers to bring groceries home, mandatory or you cannot carry the goods home. This is also in Asia and Mexico too, We are in the USA are major poluters. Lets keep up the rally for this one.

Hi Jessica,
It was great meeting you too – and seeing your dedication & enthusiasm in action.
'twas a great excuse to attend the Green Festival.. you know how it is when you live somewhere and get jaded to the 'touristy' things.. regarding the plastic bags.. San Francisco has outlawed them, at least in retail stores. Hope more follow..
warm wishes,
David
