Yesterday, Christiana posted a little note about making use of the combined wisdom--and courage and enthusiasm--of everyone on this site to help keep our planet green and healthy.
What do you have to share?
We're sure you've got your own collection of favorite sites, ideas, blog posts, videos, tips, resources, insights and articles. Why not spread the wealth? The easiest way is by making sure you tag these favorites with 'green' or 'environment' so that everyone can find them. (And you're already doing an amazing job... check out all the vids with that tag!) And make sure, too, to join our brand-new Earth Day pod. It's an excellent space to collect ideas and information and to collaborate with others.
And wow. Isn't it nice to discover that you're not the only one out there committed to a greener future? :)

Earth is our mother,
She is mother earth.
She becomes the mother goddess.
We may have born from our human mothers,
but mother earth feeds us till we die.
Even after our death she just take us unside her.
Actually we do not care for her at all.
We just tramp all over her.
We just cut down all the plants coming out of her.
We just destroy all the living beings living on her.
We do not have mercy on her.
We just take everything out of her and strew them all over her.
She just waits, calm and cool.
When it becomes unbearable, she become furious , she turn all those natural forces
towards us.
Mother earth puts fire out of her volcanoes,
Turns great waves from all the oceans for distruction,
Send out hurricanes for same,
While mother earth quakes she just gulps every thing available.
Even after all these we have not learnt anything for good.
If we love her and do not irritate her,
she will not try to destroy us.
True, True.
And one day our REAL punishment will come.
The day Mother earth is about to die.
Old with age (most of it people caused).
I have to say that I've reduced my activity on zaadz of lack of interest on the staff part for creating ways that allow diversity of use and diversity in membership. To me, the great goals of ecology, conservation and “doing good” seem to pale when I know that much of the world is unable to adequately access this website and forums for conversation because of design that does not accommodate accessibility by members and visitors who must use assistive technology….
Don't know if this is the place, but I would like to ask the Zaadsters to help the planet by visualizing the two whales trapped in the Sacramento River finding their way back to the ocean. They need our focus.
The Earth is resisting all man is doing to her. Though, man know that but do not care. All man think is how to make life easier at the cost of anything. The planet is giving up, faster than anyone think.
