Hello Lovely People!
This is Jessica :)
I recently spent Thanksgiving in Arizona, the land of sharp-pointy plants, gravelly gardens and painted skies. I even fed giraffes at Tucson's (quite humane) zoo!
It's the holidays and I know many of you must be traveling too, even if it's just to Grandma's house down the street ;) So, this week's Friday Five is all about traveling. Where we've been, where we're going and who will be there with us! Here are our Friday Five instructions in case you need a refresher. Just copy and paste the questions and post your response in your blog.
Come on and share...
1) Where have you traveled most recently?
2) What city/ country have you always wanted to go? Is there a place that draws you?
3) Which place(s) have you found particularly magical or beautiful?
4) If you could travel anywhere this holiday season, where would you go? and…
5) Who would you bring with you?
Here's mine ;)
Don't forget to tag your blog with Friday Five and share your post with friends.

Help

I really like how you do this Friday Five stuff. It gives everyone a chance to get to know you and a chance for you to think. It’s really cool. =)
I am grateful for my opportunity to play high school basketball. I am grateful for Ruban Amavisca, the career educator at my school. He helps me apply for scholarships and gives me advice when needed. Without his help, i probably would not have found this web site. I am grateful for my mom finding a new job. I am fortunate that my manager works around my basketball schedule to give me a decent amount of hours each week. I am grateful for the opportunity i have to better the lives of people around me. I am grateful for the knowledge i have learned throughout my high school years and the knowledge i am going to gain while attending college. I am grateful for Sacramento State University state admitted me and giving me a chance to become part of their community.
Mine are done!
Aw! Thanks Angela. I really hope it can help us all get to know each other. I loved reading yours too! New Orleans with your family sounds awesome. i have never been.
Ethen09, thank you so much for sharing your abundant gratitude.
Siona, I always love your answers.
here’s mine!
I live in the land of the spikey plants! and I love it here with the wide open sky and almost constant sunshine. I had the chance to visit New Orleans in 2004 and found the artists in the city square so fun to meet. I like exploring this side of the country where I am grateful for less traffic and perfect weather. Guatemala is lovely for its rawness and lush exotic mountain areas.
I have never come across a community where people seem so for real. I wish that more people would join this community since it’s not commercially emphasized. I will post my answer to the five questions you’ve posed to the members of this community on my blog!
Arizona and that whole area is so gorgeous. I was blessed with a road trip through the Southwest years ago and I’ll never forget the sunsets I saw in New Mexico - it looked like the sky was on fire! I’m looking at a road trip out West this spring, I’ll put up some answers once I think of where to drop by! :)
The most beautiful place I have ever been was Australia. Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous. I went to study abroad for a month and we traveled the country, went to some heavenly islands, scuba dived on the Great Barrier Reef, which is a city under the ocean. I would love to go to anywhere in Africa someday, though.
Hi!! My first post =) i’m so excited!
1. I haven’t traveled much recently at all =( I would have to say Atlantic City in Jersey in July, but just for the beach and the shopping. No gambling for me! =)
2. I’ve always wanted to visit Spain , but mostly Venice Italy! I want to see it before the city sinks!
3.I’ve found magical the Philippines because it is where I mostly grew up. Plus it is where 95% of my family lives..so being able to spend time with them is magical and beautiful in itself.
4. Philippines again!! Just because of my family and Christmas there is so different!! It lasts for 4 months because whenever the “Ber” months start, it’s right on with the xmas lights / trees/ songs everything!! Plus the carolers and the star decorations called a “Parol” is hung everywhere. Plus it gets cooler during December, compared to the extreme heat the rest of the year.
5. I would take my dad. Mostly because I know in my heart he longs for the life he had back in our country. there’s a sense of loneliness and emptiness he’s had since we moved here 10 years ago. He misses his friends, his surroundings..He would be delighted to visit his home.
I really liked answering these questions!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and happy new year!
I am happy to now that the Arizona Zoo is humane. :)
Best wishes
