Hello lovely Gaians :)
It's Jodi.
Jessica asked me to post a Friday Five all about the stars. Living in the Southern Hemisphere we have great stargazing experiences here in South Africa. I love stargazing and all the mythology surrounding the stars and planets. Here are five questions about our heavens.
Let us know...
1) Do you wish on shooting stars?
2) Would you like to travel to outer space?
3) Do you like astrology?
4) If you could name a new planet, what would you call it?
5) Do you enjoy star-gazing?
Here's what I said.
Can't wait to hear all about your astral experiences. :)

Help

1) Do you wish on shooting stars?
I have never actually seen a shooting star :( But I have seen the Northern Lights!
2) Would you like to travel to outer space?
Most certainly. But would need greater faith in our current technology.
3) Do you like astrology?
I do not dislike it - I just don't buy into much of its claims.
4) If you could name a new planet, what would you call it?
Bodhisphere
5) Do you enjoy star-gazing?
Very much so. Many a night I have reclined on a deck chair and become absorbed in the luminous empty of space.
AWESOME! And here's mine. Friday Five ~Star Gazing
…Oh.
I am supposed to have posted this as a blog entry, huh?
Sorry.
I was on another planet there.
I sooo Love the # 3 question, but there are so many stars within us that have a hard time with the “Moola Needs t'a know.”
Just a passing star in the universe, is My quota…….and not the sitting, and pulling in on it - is my moral jist of it all:) Heavy, nah not really….just trying to make the points all add up right to my minds eye, and not the jingle of ones pocket-book is all I wish to make of it, tis all.
Number 5, is my most passionate of all.
It illuminates my imagination, and draws in all the mythology of how the universe all began. To sit as a star gazer is the most amasing thing to behold, when one looks above on that most clear and still night, and captures the constellations, and then….out of no where > sees a falling star……….I made a wish, did you?
*Ri*
Hehe, Tharlam! :) Great to read your answers here. The idea is to post a blog but any response is great!
Thanks Meenakshi! Great answers.
And mum's the word, thank you for your comment. It is so wonderful to have a passion that illuminates one's imagination.
I love the fact that you all have commented here. Gives great exposure :) Now we can all enjoy your posts too!
Mine are here… and here:
Yes, though sometimes I get so captivated by their strange and fleeting beauty that I forget to make a wish for something. (This actually applies to quite a bit in my life. Oh well. :)
2) Would you like to travel to outer space?
Of course. But who is to say I don't travel there already?
3) Do you like astrology?
Very much, and for so many reasons. I like the points of comparison it offers; I like the perspective; I like the way it can connect people and point to our common human characteristics; I like how I see glimpses of myself in every sign and how laughably representative my own is.
4) If you could name a new planet, what would you call it?
Gaia.
5) Do you enjoy star-gazing?
Yes. Yes yes yes. I've never been to the Southern hemisphere, and the number one reason I want to go is to see an unfamiliar sky.
And here be mime
Thanks Siona! Love it. :)
and thanks FastDart… clicking on it as we speak…
1) Do you wish on shooting stars?
Yes, absolutely :)
2) Would you like to travel to outer space?
2) Yes, and I am counting on it within 15 years.
3) Do you like astrology?
It can be a fun to read a newspaper horoscope, but I don't believe any of the claims and do wonder if it does more harm than good.
4) If you could name a new planet, what would you call it?
Great question…wow, I was thinking of something like Bodhi then noticed Tharlam's answer! So I'll go with that - Bodhisphere :)
5) Do you enjoy star-gazing?
Yes, in fact I was just outside trying but it's not so good in the city, even at 2 am - I one of many things I miss about living in the country!
